Lyle-Warfield papers, 1939.

Consists of a diary and photographs from a canoe trip made by Guy R. Lyle and Calvin Warfield on the Holston River between Kingsport, Tennessee and Knoxville, Tennessee in the summer of 1939. At the time of the trip, Mr. Lyle was Librarian and Dr. Warfield was Professor of Physics at what was then the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina.
